A downloadable game for Windows

A POINT-AND-CLICK short story about the systems designed to perpetuate loneliness and keep us bound to fantasies of property, ownership and the status quo.

Playtime: 10-15 minutes

known issues:

There are no volume sliders, I really ran out of time, it is ungodly quiet but there are sfx and music.

The hitboxes are small, so you might click off of a console, item hitboxes or a menu by accident, as long as you dont leave the area, you can simply go back to the console.

chatboxes in teh console room do not auto scroll, they must be scrolled manually. To some this is a feature not a bug.

leaving a puzzle area resets the puzzles.

FOR GAME WALKTHROUGH, CLICK THIS, SPOILERS
CLICK TO REVEAL: MAIN AREA AND ALTAR ROOM

In the main area, collect all 4 items.

  • The router is located on the house
  • The gold is buried in the yard
  • There is a fencepost near the gate entrance
  • There is a fishing rod on the power-pole/tree

Then you may enter the Altar area, from here:

Place the router in the centre of the pentagram.

Then go to each altar and place an item. Altar order from left to right is:

fence, gold, rod. You will receive a 'cutscene'

CLICK TO REVEAL: CONSOLE ROOM

Simply click through the dialogue for all three characters until the box becomes greyed out. Then you will receive a 'cutscene'

Noting the box does not autoscroll, so you have to manually scroll if you want to read dialogue.

CLICK TO REVEAL: MUSH ROOM

Check the logs for mushrooms and keep the edible ones whilst discarding the inedible ones. From left to right, going clockwise, you:

keep, keep, discard, keep, discard, discard

After which, the check option will light up. Click it, and you will receive a 'cutscene'

and if you give a shit, the mushrooms are(same order): oyster, chicken of the woods, amanita muscaria, morel, Haploporus odorus, calostoma cinnabarinum

If the game's good, if the games shit, - leave a comment or message me on discord @seadought (I'm in Acerola's discord). I am a fan of any constructive feedback.

1.0 version I did it, first ever finished thing!

  • Photography mostly from royalty-free unsplash, or pixabay photos - under their respective royalty-free licenses.
  • Otherwise, my own or from out-of-copyright books found on Project Gutenburg.
  • 1 nature sound, the bird one taken off freesound under CC3.0 license.
  • I'll probably update this more thoroughly later

The rest was made by me (and it shows LOL).  Thanks to all the great people making godot and blender tutorials, Acerola's discord for making cool stuff and being supportive to one another. Acerola himself for hosting such a large undertaking. You really brought together a lot of great people.
